She explained to Truly: \u201cOne in five thousand women are born with it, it means I was born without a uterus and a fully formed vagina. I\u2019ve got both ovaries, which hopefully are healthy, but I won\u2019t be able to find that out for a few years yet.\u201d Her mental health was also negatively affected by the diagnosis: \u201cI was just humiliated and embarrassed by it.\u201d Adding that: \u201cI didn\u2019t want people to judge me, I didn\u2019t feel like a woman.\u201d She was diagnosed at 16 years old and started on the treatment of dilation, but medical staff realised after a year that it wasn\u2019t working as well as they\u2019d hoped.
