I used to think peace was something I\u2019d find when life finally calmed down.<\/p>\n

I overanalyzed everything, replayed conversations in my head, and lived in a cycle of fear, shame, and regret.<\/strong>\u00a0Even when nothing major was happening, my thoughts kept me restless.<\/p>\n Do you you know the feeling?<\/p>\n Maybe you collapse into bed at night,\u00a0mentally exhausted, but can\u2019t fall asleep because your brain won\u2019t stop. Or perhaps you wake up already anxious about everything waiting for you. Maybe you feel like you\u2019re constantly running, trying to hold everything together.<\/p>\n Can I tell you something? That is not the life God intended for you.<\/p>\n Jesus said,\u00a0\u201cPeace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(John 14:27)<\/p>\n If Jesus gave you His peace, why does it feel so hard to hold onto?<\/p>\n Because there are things constantly stealing it from you.<\/p>\n \u201cCan any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 Matthew 6:27<\/p>\n I used to think that if I worried enough, I could somehow prepare for every outcome, protect myself from disappointment, and avoid failure. But the truth is,\u00a0worry doesn\u2019t prevent bad things from happening\u2014it just steals today\u2019s peace.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Worry is a trick of the enemy. It keeps you stuck in your own head, trapped in \u201cwhat-if\u201d thinking, instead of trusting God.<\/p>\n How to stop letting worry steal your peace: When anxious thoughts creep in, pause and surrender them to God. Out loud, say:<\/p>\n \u201cJesus, You are in charge. I trust You. I refuse to let worry rule over me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Every time you do this, you disarm the enemy and take back your peace.<\/p>\n \u201cFor God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 2 Timothy 1:7<\/p>\n Fear is one of the biggest peace stealers because it paralyzes you.<\/p>\n Fear tells you:<\/p>\n It keeps you from stepping into your calling, your healing, and your breakthrough.<\/p>\n How to stop letting fear steal your peace: The next time fear rises, speak truth over it.<\/p>\n When you fight fear with truth, you remind the enemy that he has already lost.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 Romans 8:1<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know what your past holds, but I know what it feels like to carry shame.<\/p>\n Regret keeps you looking back when God is calling you forward.<\/p>\n How to stop letting shame steal your peace:\u00a0<\/strong>The next time shame tries to define you, remind yourself:<\/p>\n \u201cI am forgiven.\u201d<\/em> God is not looking at your past\u2014He\u2019s calling you into your future.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let the enemy chain you to a version of yourself that no longer exists.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cBe still, and know that I am God.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 Psalm 46:10<\/p>\n Busyness is sneaky.<\/p>\n It\u00a0feels productive<\/em>\u2014like you\u2019re doing something important. But deep down, it leaves you exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from God.<\/p>\n I used to wear busyness like a badge of honor. If I wasn\u2019t working, helping someone, or planning the next thing, I felt lazy.
