The 10-year-old girl made headlines in the scientific journal The New England Journal of Medicine.<\/p>\n

The case that left doctors shocked happened after a little girl, just 10 years old, was struck by a serious case of jiggers, which became so complicated that it scared everyone who had contact with her during the period in which everything happened.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the girl is English, but was spending a few days in Brazil when she contracted jiggery-zoster. Her parents only discovered the case when she returned home. However, it is not known why, but they only took her to the doctor to evaluate the case 10 days later.<\/p>\n

When they sought medical help, the case was already serious, complicated, and so frightening that it became a news item in the scientific journal The New England Journal of Medicine.<\/p>\n
