The 2015 arthouse movie has suddenly gained renewed attention on\u00a0TikTok\u00a0as users record and share their reactions to its notably explicit opening sequence.<\/p>\n

The trend appears to have originated with TikTok user @Laura2002m1, whose video explaining the challenge garnered 1.4 million views, before being removed from the platform, per\u00a0Decider.<\/p>\n

In her words, viewers should: \u201cWatch it on Netflix and use the sound to record yourself watching the very beginning. Like, I mean the very beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n

It follows Murphy, an American living in Paris, who receives a call from the mother of his ex-girlfriend, Electra, informing him that she has gone missing.<\/p>\n
