An email document, with the sender’s and recipient’s names and email addresses redacted, contains a discussion regarding the NBC Dateline interviews with survivors. The email states:
“Below is the list of those we know of who were interviewed for Dateline.”
A follow-up email provides details of what one of the redacted individuals said during an interview with Guthrie:
“Just wanted to give you a heads-up, she’s done another interview with Savannah Guthrie, and in it, she said the following.”
The email mentioned “They plan to air it on “Tofay” and “Dateline”. “Hope that’s helpful.”
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 this year, in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson. After she failed to attend church the next day, family members reported her missing. Authorities now treat the case as a possible abduction, citing evidence including blood matching her DNA found on her porch and signs that she likely did not leave voluntarily. No verified suspects have been publicly identified.
Amid the intense search, a ransom note, reported to include a cryptocurrency demand, surfaced and is being investigated, though law enforcement has not confirmed its authenticity or linked it to any suspects.
