FBI issue update after finding ‘new message’ in Nancy Guthrie disappearance case…See more

The FBI has issued an update on Nancy Guthrie following a statement from Trump that he would be using all federal law enforcement at his disposal to find her.
The mother of TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie is still considered missing after she failed to show up to church almost a week ago on February 1.
The authorities said the 84 year-old Nancy Guthrie disappeared under ‘concerning circumstances’ and have launched an investigation.
At this point, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has said they are treating her home in Catalina Foothills, Tucson, Arizona, as an ‘active crime scene’ – adding that it does not appear that she ‘willingly’ left the premises.
On February 5, Trump gave an update on Truth Social about the situation.
He said he had spoken to Savannah and ‘let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY’.

He added: “We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family.
“GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”
On February 6, the FBI acknowledged that there is a new message that has been sent out that they are investigating.
This follows on from reports of alleged ransom notes sent to TMZ and CBS affiliate KOLD-TV demanding Bitcoin for Nancy’s safe return.
The statement read: “The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie.
“Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity.
“While this is one new piece of information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”

KOLD News/News 13 confirmed that it received the new message earlier in the day on February 6.
However, the outlet added that they would not be releasing details out of respect to the family.
News 13 added: “The new note contains information the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they’re the same people who sent the first note.”
An FBI spokesperson spoke to People and said on the same day they, and evidence recovery teams, had showed up at Nancy’s home looking for clues.
They told the outlet: “We are back at the house again as part of customary investigation follow up.
“We were planning on getting back to the house today even before that message came in.”
